Some of you may have noticed recent posts and tweets regarding me waiting for “something”. Well, that “something” has come…….Paula and I will finally have our prayers answered, we are becoming parents.
In the middle of December, our long time friend Katye (Dompier) has got word that her older brothers daughter was pregnant; yes, that means it is Katye’s niece who is pregnant. Her niece is 15 and knows she made a mistake having unprotected sex at a young age but as we all know peer pressure can get the best of some. I won’t go into deep details about that because it’s not my place to but I will tell you I’m glad she made the decision to keep the baby rather than aborting it. The family lives in Texas and the baby boy is due in mid to late April.
Paula and I have waited for the day we would be blessed with a child and it seems that time has come. We are extremely excited about this amazing gift we’ve received and couldn’t ask for anything more. Of course there is still 90+ days to wait till we get to meet our blessing but we hope the time flies.
I want to thank Katye, who will be the God-Mother, for even thinking about us when she heard about her niece being pregnant and wanting to give it up for adoption. Without Katye we wouldn’t have this blessing being given to us, words can not explain how thankful I am.
Of course as time goes on we will have more details of this joyous event and hopefully pictures as well.
Again, thank you for all the congratulations and I’m excited to share this moment in our lives with all of you.

I must say this is good news for you guys. I would be first to congratulate but I know I am too late. Call me jealous because I could only dream of being in your shoes but I think you will have a new life’s worth of experience when you see this child.

Words cannot express how HAPPY and ELATED I am for both of you, Ive watched all of you grow up and become wonderful adults who I am proud to call my family I know you two have waited years patiently to become parents. I am so excited for you both! Even more so knowing that you’re adopting out of my family…It is such an amazing, HUMBLING feeling! My two families are becoming ONE…it’s one of the greatest blessings I could ever ask for. I am so grateful for my neice for giving you (and us) this opportunity. It couldn’t have happened to two more deserving people. You and Jimmy are going to make incredible parents. Ahhhhh! I can’t wait to hold my new GODSON!!!! This is the beginning of an incredible journey. I can’t wait to be along for the ride. I love you both so much.
